A Really Cool Idea

On my first post, I asked for readers to send me unique and cool ideas for people to look at as possible businesses, or occupations.  I received a number of very interesting opportunities.

In this post I am going to talk about Cold Rush Ice  http://www.coldrushice.com/

They are a standalone ice making and filtered water machine, and they are manufactured here in Mississippi, using Japanese technology.  I will let the owner explain further.

Digital Marketing / Residual Income

For a number of years I have consulted with a Digital Marketing Company that owns a golden asset. They have and continue to expand on a 300 million plus Email data base of subscribers, organized across over 147 interest groups.  Their three largest is in health and fitness, automobile market, and pet care.

Email marketing has the highest ROI with the lowest price point to grow your business.  I can bore you with stats, if you desire.  This ROI is increased if you have subscribers vs cold, opt in, and double opt in data bases.  The cherry on top is when you can filter the data base by age, sex, and interests, and sprinkles through performance guarantees.  Everyone is happy, as the buyers are seeing what they want to see, and sellers aren't spraying the world with emails people do not care about, and paying for it, to boot.

Well, let's just  say their business has taken off, and they created two verticals to focus on over the next twelve months.  Pet Care, and Automotive.  Both have email clients that perceive their purchases as needs, and are hungry for information and products.

To facilitate their growth without severe cash obligations, they decided to bring on sales agents that live outside of Southern California to work in one of these niches.  For Autos they have already expanded into 15 states and are bringing on large corporate clients, and pet care has just launched and have brought on three agents in Southern California to start the process.

The expansion has gone well, as the clients are staying past their first contracts.  The company pays residuals, meaning as long as they bill, you get paid, you get paid well for your efforts 15% of gross revenue of your clients, they also offer the clients a guarantee of performance (which opens doors for you), and it costs you nothing to be part of the team (except buying business cards).

You can work small or large clients (some notable clients are Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Skechers).  Every business needs your product, and every mid to large consumer facing company does some form of email marketing.  These guys just do it better.

It Begins

Today's world is more frightening and exciting than at anytime time in our history.  We are living in a world of superlatives.  Knowledge, innovation, disinter-mediation, greed, and conflict are at extremes and are accelerating.  Norman Rockwell would not understand our world today, and we won't recognize tomorrow's.

This is causing great distress with many people, and it should, but you are in more control than you think.  I am writing this blog to give voice to the opportunities that are in front of us. Technology allows us to see and act on opportunities with lightning speed.  You literally can hatch an idea, and in two weeks have a functioning corporation.  You literally can build million dollar businesses with no employees, and you can access and outsource every skill you do not have from the best talent in your price range from anywhere in the world.

I know from where I write.  I have two Corporations, with four businesses run by my wife and myself, with four different business partners.  It is hard work, it is scary at times, the money isn't always flowing, but it is so empowering to wake up everyday and seize it.  Will we become rich? Probably, will we fail?  Maybe, but I now know my passions and the toolkit, and can dust off and start again if need be, or pivot as the world changes.  But this is not about being an entrepreneur, per se, but knowing your value, and putting yourself in a position to exploit it.  I will highlight those opportunities and toolkits for your future success.

The second area I will cover in this blog is getting connected with the right services, tools, products, and solutions to drive your investment returns higher.  You will not see formulas and bromides from me.  I think the entire financial consulting community offers the same fare, and your investment results suffer. You will be exposed to some pretty innovative and proven solutions.  I will also be transparent, if I am involved in something, or have a bias I will tell you.

Finally, I will share where the hockey puck is going and to whet your imagination to drive your success.
